Terms of Service

Effective date: August 16, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using PDFKit (pdfkit.samevibe.in), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of service

PDFKit provides free, browser-based PDF tools — including merge, split, compress, convert, edit, protect, and organize — that process files entirely on your device. The service requires no account and stores no user data on any server.

3. Free use

All PDFKit tools are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce advertising in the future, limited to a single ad slot on the final download step only, and to modify or discontinue features at any time.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use PDFKit to process or distribute content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property rights, or violates applicable laws. You are solely responsible for the documents you process and how you use the results.

5. No warranty

PDFKit is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that processed documents will be free of defects.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFKit and its maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or documents, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. You are responsible for keeping backups of your original files.

7. Intellectual property

The PDFKit name, logo, design, and site content are the property of PDFKit and its maintainers. You retain full ownership of your own documents. The open-source components used by the service remain under their respective licenses.

8. Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains that your documents never leave your device and that only privacy-friendly aggregate analytics are collected.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be directed through the project's GitHub repository.
