How it works
Everything runs client-side
PDFKit uses pdf-lib for PDF manipulation and PDF.js for rendering, both compiled to WebAssembly. Heavy operations run in Web Workers so the interface stays responsive — even for multi-hundred-page documents.
Files stay on your device
When you open a PDF, it is read directly from your device. Results are generated locally and downloaded through your browser. IndexedDB is used only for optional local storage — it never syncs to the cloud.
Privacy-friendly analytics
PDFKit uses Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage — page views and approximate locations. It sets no cookies, collects no personal data, and never tracks you across sites. Your documents are never part of analytics.
